Come Drop a Line at Trout Farm at Rock Springs!

We offer catch and keep trout fishing all year round in both the ponds and creek at Rock Springs. If you love fishing and like to actually catch fish, this is the ideal location for you. At our West Virginia fishing destination, you can catch our sustainably raised trout, then take your fish home and cook up a delicious dinner! Or you can stay on site in our fishing cabins at the Trout Lodge at Rock Springs, which we plan to expand upon with a colorful, bright, tropical theme that harkens to our Florida roots – to enhance our unique, fun, and family-friendly experience! We can’t wait to share this unique property with you, our guests.

 

General Information & Regulations

Please be courteous to fellow fishermen. We are a family friendly destination. We reserve the right to remove any guests who are not adhering to our rules and regulations with no refund returned. How Our Pond Fee Fishing Works
Upon arrival, please check in at the Trout Shack. Pick up your day pass lanyard, bag, and basket. At the end of your fishing experience, rinse and bag your fish whole and bring to the trout shack to be weighed.

  • Open Monday-Saturday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
  • No reservations are required for the ponds.
  • No fee to fish in the ponds.
  • All fish must be kept. No throw backs.
  • No limit of number of fish caught.
  • No fishing license required in the ponds.
  • Fish will be weighed at the end and priced at $5/lb.
  • Weight varies fish to fish but approximately 1-3 lbs.
  • Power bait, worms, corn, salmon eggs, minnows, or any other bait may be used in catch-and-keep ponds.
  • Fly fishing is prohibited in the 3 front ponds.
  • No coolers allowed in pond areas.
  • No fish cleaning allowed on site.
  • We do not provide fish cleaning services at this time.

How Our Creek Fee Fishing Works
Upon arrival, please check in at the Trout Shack to pay for your fishing experience. Pick up your day pass lanyard. At the end of your fishing experience, please return your day pass lanyard.

  • Open Monday-Saturday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
  • Reservations are required for the creek.
  • $75 fishing fee per person.
  • You can keep up to 6 trout (WV daily limit). You must keep any fish over 9″, and can throw back under that.
  • A WV fishing license is required.
  • Fish range from 1-5 lbs with some trophy sized at 10 lbs.
  • Power bait, worms, corn, salmon eggs, minnows, or any other bait may be used.
  • Please fish in appropriate designated sections. Certain sections of the creek are designated for fly fishing only.
  • No fish cleaning allowed on site.
  • We do not provide fish cleaning services at this time.
  • We have a 15 person limit, per day on the creek.
  • No refunds for bad weather or blown out creek.
